Very hard to find and first record for Bambaataa as an artist. it's an Arthur Baker production one year before their anthem "Planet rock". They use the "Funky sensation" of Gwen Mc Crae for the music that you can find here too.

One of my all time favorites (the Bronx version was the Jam). I have one copy of the remix which extends the intro to 8 bars instead of the original 2 bars, made it a bit tough to work with a 2 bar break over and over. I used to hear Jazzy Jay roc this was at the Roxy, a big free-styling record back then. Check out the list of all the NYC high schools at the back end of the track. "Cardinal Hayes, roc-rocin' on, roc-in'on". Thanks for this.

Thank you for posting. I have a version or 2 of this on a few comps. One of the great original tracks. Kenton Nix written tracks always translated well to Hip-Hop (Heartbeat, Funky Sensation, Chillin' Out, Serious Serious Space Party). Excellent!
